First Look at Simpsons-Futurama and Simpsons-Family Guy Crossover Episode

After a more highly than anticipated rating of the Simpsons marathon on scarcely-viewed channel FXX, the Simpsons look to start off with a bang adding two crossovers into their line-up.

Despite a much anticipated Simpsons-Family Guy crossover (September 28th), the internet has been buzzing about the Simpsons-Futurama crossover in the works. As the arguably best comedy animation show of all time begins to fade out, these crossover episodes are allowing the baton to be passed. Younger audiences who grew up on Futurama and Family Guy will be able to connect with their parents who grew up on the Simpsons. While we haven’t seen any clips yet, we have this plot offered to us:

The crossover will unspool a complex, Terminator-esque story that involves Bart blowing his nose on a sandwich that he places in a time capsule. When that mixes with Milhouse’s rabbit’s foot and some radioactive ooze, it creates a global catastrophe in the future, prompting Bender to travel back in time to kill Bart and prevent this mega-mess.”

The Simpsons-Family Guy crossover will feature as the premier episode of Family Guy’s 13th season. In this episode, we we will see a familiar Family Guy chicken fight sequence, instead featuring Homer Simpson fighting Peter Griffin over which world’s beer is better. Here’s 5 minutes of the episode, shown at Comic-Con.
