Capcom Looks To The Future With $78 Million Investment
Capcom has set its sights on the future with construction beginning on a new research and development building in Osaka, Japan.
Dubbed as Building S and Building N, the company’s new will be new emphasis on development and digital distribution.
Along with the new buildings which are planned for completion in January 2015, Camcom also announced today that part of the $78 million plan includes, hiring 100 developers each year to work on designing games internally, these will be “Mostly new graduates”. They hope to have a workforce of around 2,500 developers by March, 2022.
The new buildings will feature some of the newest technology including a motion capture room and a studio for producing sound effects to give its developers a “competitive advantage” in the “rapidly growing mobile content and PC online games markets.”
Last month Capcom announced a new partnership with Twitch and revealed the final character forUltra Street Fighter 4.
