Rescued Lab Animals Are Gorgeous In This Alice In Wonderland Photoshoot

Italian charity La Collina dei Conigli ONLUS rescues rabbits, mice, rats and guinea pigs that are being mistreated in labs.

A volunteer came up with the idea as a way of celebrating the charity’s 10th anniversary.

Alice in Wonderland was chosen because both the charity, and the story, started with a white rabbit.

The photos were taken at the shelter in Monza, near Milan, in September, by a volunteer photographer.

The team noticed that mice were definitely the most cooperative models.

Guinea pigs were the laziest, and they’d only cooperate if there was food in it for them!

Rats, surprisingly, were the most photogenic.

And rabbits were the most disapproving.

The pictures will be showcased in the charity’s annual calendar!

Sales of the calendar will help raise funds so the charity can continue helping mistreated animals in Italy.

Most of these cuties are still looking for new homes, so if you’re in Italy and in need of a pet, drop in and adopt one!

Seriously, how could you resist these faces?
