Life After Hogwarts: J.K. Rowling Reveals What Happened To Our Favorite Wizarding Families

Technically, the Harry Potter books ended in 2007 and we only got a brief glimpse into the futures of our favorite characters. But thanks to social media, Pottermore and J.K. herself, we’ve found out a lot about what those wizarding families get up to in the future.  Take a look below and see what’s in store for Harry and his buddies, and some epic fan art of what they look like all grown up.

1. The Potters (Harry, Ginny, James Severus, Albus Severus and Lily Luna)

Following that whole spat with Voldemort, Harry became an Auror. At 26, he was made the youngest Head of Department and had a successful career, revolutionising the work the Aurors do at the Ministry.
Ginny was signed to the Hollyhead Harpies and played Quidditch professionally for a few years. She retired to raise her children, James, Albus and Lily, and worked for the Daily Prophet as their senior Quidditch reporter.

2. Ron, Hermione, Hugo and Rose

Hermione returned to Hogwarts to complete her N.E.W.T.S. then went on to work in the Department for the Control and Regulation of Magical Creatures, while continuing her work for S.P.E.W. She was eventually promoted to the Head of Magical Law Enforcement where she helped Kingsley Shacklebolt eradicate the remaining antiquated pureblood laws.
Ron worked in the Auror department with Harry for awhile, but left to help George run Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. Despite all he’s achieved, he still refers to that time he, Hermione and Harry got their own Chocolate Frog cards as the achievement of his life.
The pair have two kids, Rose and Hugo.

3. George, Angelina, Fred and Roxanne

George never quite got over his twin’s death, but his team mate Angelina Johnson helped him during his worst moments, and they eventually married. George still runs the Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes with help from Ron, and it’s more successful that ever.
The pair had two kids, Fred and Roxanne.

4. Bill, Fleur, Victoire, Dominique, and Louis

Bill stayed on at Gringotts working as a curse-breaker, and he had three children with his wife Fleur. Their names are Victoire, Dominique, and Louis.

5. Percy, Audrey, Molly, and Lucy

Percy married a woman named Audrey and they had two girls, Molly and Lucy. When Kingsley Shacklebolt was made the new Minister for Magic, Percy was promoted to the Head of Musical Transportation.

6. Charlie Weasley

Charlie was always more interested in dragons than he was in girls, so he never married or had kids. Still, he’s never lonely. Whenever he visits from Romania, he has throngs of nieces and nephews to entertain.

7. Neville and Hannah

After the war, Neville tried his hand at being an Auror, but eventually quit to pursue his passion. He was eventually made the Herbology professor at Hogwarts. He married Hannah Abbott, and she took over as landlady of the Leaky Cauldron. The couple is still childless as far as we know.

8. The Lupins

Teddy Lupin was raised by his grandmother, but still spends a lot of time with Harry and other members of the order. Taking from both his parents, he’s a half-warewolf half-Metamorphmagus. He entered into a relationship with Victorie Weasley, and it’s rumored they have a child named Lupin.

9. Luna, Rolf, Lorcan and Lysander

After graduation, Luna became a world-renowned wizard naturalist. She found love with Rolf Scamander, the grandson of Magizoologist Newt Scamander, author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. They have two young boys, and still spend time with their friends in the order.

10. The Malfoys (Draco, Astoria and Scorpius Hyperion)

Draco found love with Astoria Greengrass and they had a son. Both purebloods, they abandoned the hateful mindset with which they’d been raised. Scorpio grew into a wise and accepting kid.
While Draco and Harry eventually developed a mutual respect for each other, the never became friends.
