DICE Begins Banning Battlefield 3 Beta Cheaters

DICE has begun dropping the ban hammer on Battlefield 3 beta cheaters. Community manager Ian “crash7801″ Tornay created an official thread for players to report dodgy activity. The thread has quickly filled up with reports(35 pages at time of writing) and quickly growing. Cheating users are very easy to spot with insanely high scores exceeding the one million mark.

“The hammer will fall swiftly and accurately.”

The beta is completely vulnerable to cheating as DICE has no anti-cheat systems in place. Punkbuster has been completely disabled. This has been done as an experiment so DICE can figure out how players cheat and get rid of all possible ways of foul play for the full release.

Battlefield 3 releases on the 25th of October on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
