Microsoft has silently released details on a new Windows Phone application that will allow you to access your Xbox 360. The app will act almost like a second controller for your Xbox 360 but better. You will be able to track down information on movies you’re watching, music, tv shows and search the Xbox Live catalogue and download items. Almost any task you can complete using your controller can be done using this app.

The application was spotted in the new Microsoft video that featured the brand new Xbox 360 features set to bring a new world of entertainment to your living room.

It is unknown if the application can be used as an actual controller for playing video games but this might be a possibility with the use of on-screen buttons.
