Battlefield 3 Beta: Glitches Have Access, Too
This is a beta and is “not representative of the final product.” These are the cliche words behind every video game beta and demo. The phrase has been so overused that we no longer consider this to be the truth and only a marketing scam. Now this is not because no changes are made, the reason is the changes are so miniature, it really has no purpose. With Battlefield 3, DICE really mean it.
We got access to the beta early last night and the game was looking very good. Nice gameplay, good visuals but one little thing kept putting its annoying fingers in our face. While proned, our soldier disappeared below the ground in a weird terrain glitch. This is the most common of the lot and has appeared many times whilst proned in lifted terrains in the first spawn locations of Operation Metro. Fortunately, a quick fix is on the way as stated by Daniel Matros, the DICE global Battlefield community manager.
The terrain deformation on metro. We are working on a fix to implement in the beta as soon as possible
If you haven’t yet come across the glitch, here you go:
This soldier got himself stuck -inside- a tree! No way out from this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHG-HMW_hfA&feature=player_detailpage#t=138s
Snakeman has also made an appearance:
This beta is definitely not representative of the final product. DICE and EA will make sure every spot of Battlefield 3 is perfect before the game launches on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on October 25. However, the game mechanics from the beta will unlikely see change. If they see change, the changes are likely be near unnoticeable.

The Beta is ridiculous with its bugs, also not a fan of metro, everyone camps
I haven’t found the camping too bad – although some do, it isn’t as bad as COD. I do like getting inside the Metro though, but can’t wait Caspian is made public
True, the first section of the map seems favorable for camping, but it does change the pace within the subway station. Caspian looks amazing
Caspian is HUGE! Wonder how long walking the entire map will take :O
