Sony Japan has today revealed two brand new colours for the Playstation 3, Scarlet Red and Splash Blue. The revelation was made during a press conference prior to the Tokyo Games Show.

Both consoles will be sold at 29,980 yen each or approximately USD $389 and will be released in Japan on November 17. There has been no news of the system being released in other areas so you’ll have to settle for the ceramic white console if you want something different.

The new “Splash Blue” PS3 system comes in a fresh metallic blue color that resembles a splashing water or the ocean while the “Scarlet Red” PS3 comes in a vibrant metallic red color that resembles a glaring sun or a flame. Matching perfectly with the PS3 system, DUALSHOCK®3 Wireless Controller included in the bundle will also come in these special colors.
