EMGN Weekend Updates Incoming
Firstly, EMGN.com is now functioning as our main URL, as we pointed out [here]. Re-direction of pages and the transfer of our Alexa ranking data is currently still under work.
- FORUMS: The official EMGN forums will be launched this weekend. You will be required to re-register with your current account to access the forums.
- Staff Only Forums: A staff only board will be added to our forums. This board will include all EMGN updates as well as a detailed to-do list – reviews, previews and other content that needs to be finished. (suggested by Ben). Also, staff will be able to reserve review copies for any upcoming games via this board.
- EMGN Wiki: The wiki will undergo a URL change to wiki.emgn.com
- DESIGN: Work on our new design will start. The focus will be to bring news to viewers faster from our extensive range of topics. Also we promise more organized content with special pages designated to every game, product and movie. This is a long-term and high cost project and we will be taking our time to ensure it’s perfect. The design will be implemented, at the earliest, in October.
- Logo Change: Our current logo, obviously, is no longer representative of our name and URL. A more professional and fitting logo will be implemented this weekend.
- Webcast: Unfortunately, Tom’s weekly webcast will be delayed to next week.

the PM doesnt seem to be working, i cant send any messages. i can type them but then when i click the “send reply” button nothing happens

Thanks, didn’t notice that. Working on a fix. Use the wiki for now for messaging: gamingnews.wetpaint.com, the forums should be up soon.
Quick update: you should be able to use the messaging by going to the old url (http://youremgn.com) and logging in there. Not quite sure why this is happening but my guess is the database if directed to the old URL. Working on it!
i tried that, but when i go through the old i get redirected to the new when i go to my inbox
uh-oh..I’ll push out the forums early (within next 15 minutes) with the private staff boards..otherwise not being able to PM will get annoying. It might take a while to fix.

Oh this great news and the forums look nice but I have a great idea can you change it look on the fourms Madusha like to make it like the site just giving a idea.

You should be able to see the staff only boards over at the forums, we will use that for now as a means of discussion. Working on the old PM system. New forums design that matches the current one will be up in ’bout 10 mins.

So what are the pointz for?
At the moment, the points only represent user contributions to the site. A comment will grant you 5, daily log-in 10 and new post is 20. Maybe in the future we can implement some kind of auction feature where members can spend their points
