Unearthed – The Saudi Made Uncharted Copy

Unearthed: The Trail of Ibn Battuta by Saudi Arabia-based Semaphore will be available on PlayStation 3, PC, Mac, iPhone/iPad and Android. This knockoff of Uncharted by the looks of it is currently in the pre-alpha stage.

The game follows a fortune hunter known as ‘Faris Jawad’ from Morocco to Damascus, Alexandria and Dubai. On the way he will be searching for the treasure of the famed Muslim explorer ‘Ibn Battuta’.

    The game is developed on the “Unity” engine, which is a far cry from Naughty dog’s exclusive engine, but so far seems like a good effort for a lower budget game; yet i really don’t understand why someone named “Faris Jawad” could possibly sound so American, am i missing a key family member here?! :)
